Job summary:

  • Ensure the trucker meets the KPI
  • Maintaining the efficiency of middle mile
  • Overseeing the overall middle mile operations
  • Improve the current process
  • Recommends cost-cutting measures to make the transportation more profitable

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Central Hub/MFC Team for all Outbound transactions
  • Monitor the efficiency of middle mile truckers
  • Perform daily audits product handling and stacking to minimize damage and promote safe handling of product during loading and unloading
  • Ensure all orders are dispatched on time
  • Evaluate existing middle mile process
  • Provide training programs on new processes as needed
  • Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices
  • Impose sanctions / disciplinary action for any violations committed by truckers
  • Responsible for implementation of all SOPs in daily middle mile operations
  • Ensure timely pull out of RTV and Hub to Hub Intra warehouse transfer
  • Determine what are the bottlenecks in the process and provide resolutions
  • To evaluate staff performance, determines training requirements to ensure that skills & knowledge are enhanced as part of staff development program
  • Recommend optimal transport modes, routes or frequency
  • Monitor quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport costs
  • Identify savings by removing waste or unnecessary steps in the logistics process
  • Ensure metrics, reports, and process documentation is available
  • Interpret trends and analyze and review data. Provide meaningful logistics data to others in the organization to aid customer service and cost improvements
  • Performs other related jobs/duties as may be assigned by the management from time to time

Knowledge, skills and experience requirements:

  • At least 3-5 years experience in Logistics/Transportation Operations
  • Ability to multitask and deal with stressful situations
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, organizational skills and communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable in using Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and Google Drive products
  • Have strong interpersonal and conflict management skills.
  • Is impact-driven and want to make a positive impact to the lives of Sari Sari store owners; ultimately playing a role in bridging the income inequality gap in the Philippines
  • Understanding of the supply chain, including common obstacles and effective solutions
  • Quick critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Good collaboration and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Is willing to work extended hours if necessary
  • Must be willing to work in Parañaque/QC and Taguig

Qualifications, certifications and education requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, CIE is a plus, warehousing, supply chain or relevant field
